The Koshas 3-Manomaya Kosha- http://flexiladies.blogspot.co.uk/

The Koshas 3-Manomaya Kosha- http://flexiladies.blogspot.co.uk/
On our yogic journey to bliss we have reaches the third sheath which is manamaya kosha, the mental layer of the body, that is our thoughts and feelings. Our focus for asana practice will be opening the hips in order to be able to sit comfortably to meditate. When yoga asanas were first practiced the intention was that by opening the body, the practitioner would be able to sit and meditate without bodily distractions. We will also look at some alternative seated positions for meditation.

The Koshas 5-Anandamaya Kosha- http://flexiladies.blogspot.co.uk/

The Koshas 5-Anandamaya Kosha- http://flexiladies.blogspot.co.uk/
In this video we will focus on the innermost kosha which is bliss using yin yoga asanas. This work at a deeper level than Hatha yoga, accessing connective tissue. The long holds also encourage self-reflection and you are encouraged during the holds to be aware of any sensations and aware of the breath. Accessing bliss takes long, dedicated practice.
