Anger Management Part 1 Yoga can help heal series

Anger Management-
When we are angry the adrenals release cortisol into the blood which increases the heart rate and makes the breathing quick and shallow. If this continues long term this can cause cardiovascular problems, depression and fat to be deposited around the vital organs which in turn can cause diabetes. Our practice will focus on chest openers and inversions to calm the mind and opening the hips since we store negative emotions in the hip area. We will also do some salutations to safely ‘burn’ off the cortisol. Anger creates a great deal of tension in the body so we will also be releasing this tension.
